Very informative CEO meeting with Rob Potter, a Financial Advisor with Stifel Investments. Rob has had two of his own children participate in the CEO program so he knows what we are all about! Rob spent part of his career as a partner in a local CPA firm and he expressed the need for CEOs to have a basic knowledge of accounting such as balance sheets, income statements and cash flow. “You’ve got to know your numbers.” Every business has code words, so you have to be able to communicate with customers and people you do business with in a way that makes sense to them.
