Last site visit for this school year’s Knox County, IL CEOs took us the G&M Distributors in Galesburg to meet with Adam Vitale, President of G&M.
Adam does a wonderful job of sharing the history behind G&M’s longevity and success.
They have been in business since 1946 and started with only one supplier.
G&M has been family owned and grown to be one of the largest distributors in the State of Illinois.
Adam shared how community involvement and giving back are part of their culture.
G&M was one of the first businesses to go to a 4 day work week, along with their “Power Down Rule” which means no work related emails or calls between co-workers from 6pm to 6am so that team members can enjoy their time with family and friends.
