About Me

Hi, my name is Jan Abel, and I’m a senior at Galesburg High School. At school, I’m the
Editor in Chief of the school newspaper (The GHS Budget) the Vice President of the French
Honors Society, co-captain of The Speaking Streaks, and an executive member of the InterACT
Club, as well as a member of NHS and Acappella Choir. In choir, I’m an Alto II, and have
qualified for the regional level twice, and the state level once. In my free time, I like to do
calligraphy, play video games, and write for The Burg. A couple interesting facts about me: I
work as a Sunday School teacher, I’ve been in the Performing Arts Academy for nine years and
my favorite baseball team is the Chicago Cubs. I joined CEO to work on growing my small
business. In the future, I’d love to double major in English and Communications as well as run a
small business!
