About Me

Hello! My name is Haven Powell and I am a junior at Galesburg Christian School which I have been attending for 7 years. I am a member of the National Honors Society and a honor roll student. After high school, I hope to study abroad in the UK. I am looking to advance my knowledge in space to possibly become an astronomer. 

 

Outside of school, I am frequent volunteer at my church, The Ascent, with the Jr. high youth ministry. Some of my favorite pastimes are listening to music, drawing digital art, reading, and biking. I also have an interest in Greek mythology, animals, and space.

 

I joined the CEO program because of the opportunity it presented to learn a large variety of tools I can use in my future. I hope to further grow my perspective on the aspects of business, learn public speaking skills, and overall improve my knowledge on business related topics and find ways to apply it to my future career.

  • I prefer a culture that allows ample time for analysis of new ideas before implementation takes place.
  • I can be suspicious of fast and loud-talking people. I need to warm up to them before extending my trust level.
  • I blend well with others and get along with a wide variety of others.
  • I am a bottom-line oriented person who dislikes fluff and just wants the facts and data.
